Privacy

Your information, kept small.

This site collects as little as it can. Here is exactly what that is, why, and what you can ask me to do with it.

  • No analytics, no advertising, no tracking cookies.
  • Two small cookies, only if you unlock the case studies.
  • If you use the contact form, I get your message and nothing more.
  • Nothing is sold or shared for marketing. Ever.

Who is responsible

Wildfire Digital is the trading name of Bernadette Blanchard, an independent UX consultant based in Dublin, Ireland. I am the data controller for this site. For anything about your data, email hello@wildfiredigital.com.

Cookies

The case studies are password protected. When you enter the password, the site sets two cookies so you are not asked again on every page. They are strictly necessary for the feature you asked for, so they do not need a consent banner. If you never unlock a case study, no cookies are set at all.

CookieWhat it doesLasts
wf_caseA signed token that proves you entered the password. It holds no personal information.30 days
wf_hintTells the page the case studies are unlocked, so links open directly instead of showing the password box.30 days

The site does not use analytics, advertising, social media or other third-party cookies. Fonts are served from this site, not from Google.

The contact form

If you send a message through the form, I receive your name, email address, company if you give it, the kind of help you need, and your message. I use it to reply to you and, if we go on to work together, to manage that work. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in answering enquiries, or taking steps toward a contract at your request.

I keep enquiries for as long as the conversation is useful, and delete ones that do not lead to work within two years. You can ask me to delete yours sooner at any time.

Who else touches it

A small number of service providers handle data on my behalf, under contract, and only to run the site:

  • Cloudflare hosts the site and protects it from abuse. Like any web host it processes your IP address and basic request details to deliver pages and keep the site secure.
  • Resend delivers contact form messages to my inbox.
  • My email provider stores the messages I receive.

Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, it is protected by recognised safeguards such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to see the information I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how I use it, or receive a copy to take elsewhere. Email hello@wildfiredigital.com and I will reply within a month.

If you are unhappy with how I have handled your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland at dataprotection.ie, or to the authority where you live.

Changes

If anything here changes, I will update this page and the date at the top.
